Professor Richard Kitney OBE

Richard Kitney is Professor of BioMedical Systems Engineering and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College, London. 

Prof. Kitney has worked in BioMedical Engineering and Healthcare for the last 25 years. He has published over 300 papers in the fields of biomedical signal and image processing, medical informatics and the general application of computers to healthcare. 

Visbion’s technology is based on the result of 15 years of research in Prof. Kitney’s laboratory at Imperial College.

Stefan Claesen PhD DIC CSci MIEE MIPEM​

Stefan has significant experience in the application of information technology within the healthcare industry. In recent years this has involved the development of specific IT solutions for a wide range of medical specialities including minimal access surgery, general practice and radiology.

Stefan has been involved in the development of the DICOM standard for medical image communication and has worked extensively on international collaborations in medical informatics, with institutions including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Southern California (USC). He currently holds an Honorary Research Fellowship at Imperial College.

Tom Falcon MSc

Tom has ten years’ experience in medical image management solutions. Having been primarily responsible for regulatory compliance, product safety and quality, and information governance, he began assuming operational and management responsibilities at Visbion in 2019, and was appointed to the Visbion Executive Team in 2020.

Tom’s focus remains on maintaining the highest standards for Visbion customers through direct engagement and a continual programme of research and development. He is also responsible for expanding to new global markets and building relationships with local partners.
