Visbion’s innovative technology chosen by WABA
Visbion is delighted to be collaborating with WABA to further enhance Medical Image Manager (MIM), WABA’s market leading solution.
WABA and Visbion are now able to offer a joint solution which allows for ophthalmology, endoscopy and other imaging to be stored and displayed in MIM. Visbion’s innovative DICOM interface uses proven technology to further enhance the capability of the WABA solution.
The integrated solution means that clinicians can view ophthalmic DICOM images alongside other traditional image, video and audio formats in a browser based system, EPR or clinical portal.
Until now, the ability to access these disparate file types through a common interface has been limited. Imaging represents an ever increasing element of the Patient Record and as such is highly influential in clinical decisions. The requirement is of particular relevance to ophthalmology and associated specialisms for more focussed patient treatment.
“Visbion is delighted to be working with WABA. By leveraging our DICOM interface, MIM can now handle images from all types of capture devices and allows access to those images through a single, web based interface” said Mark O’Herlihy, Visbion’s Commercial Director.
Stefan Claesen, Visbion's CEO commented “The collaboration between WABA and Visbion has produced a best in class solution. There are some very exciting business opportunities in the UK as well as in Australia and other overseas markets and we look forward to a highly successful partnership.”
Chris Wilde, WABA Director, agreed “We see the integration of two market leading solutions as a key development in the provision of seamless clinical imaging information to Healthcare Professionals. We’re looking forward to an innovative and very productive partnership."
