Visbion and Hitachi Data Systems Collaborate
Visbion has today announced that it will be partnering with Hitachi Data Systems to provide a series of DICOM interfaces for Hitachi disk storage solutions.
The Partnership will allow hospitals to store all types of images directly into the Hitachi disk systems; HCP, HNAS, AMS and USP. It will also enable query and retrieval of those images, either direct to any workstation or to any PACS system.
As well as working with PACS systems from all vendors, Hitachi and Visbion offers a wide support for DICOM objects from all departments, including Radiology, Cardiology, Mammography, Ophthalmology and Medical Illustration.
Stefan Claesen, Visbion’s CEO said “We are delighted to be working with Hitachi Data Systems. Visbion’s solutions are modality independent and highly scalable, and a perfect fit for this type of application.”
“As one of our trusted partners within the healthcare sector, we look forward to continuing our work with Visbion and the significant opportunities which the partnership will bring to our customers,” said Mark Clark, EMEA Director for E-Health, Hitachi Data Systems. “Together with Visbion, we will offer healthcare professionals faster and more efficient access to stored information, reducing time – and consequently resources – spent on retrieving patient data. In an industry where decision-making time can literally be life-or-death, this development can only work to improve the standards of patient care and help to make IT systems smarter, faster and more effective. ”
